pulled this out of a hatrack the other day...a bunch or records that were new to me in 2000, all across a variety of styles...it's aged fairly well. I can still listen to it straight through without hitting the fast forward button...I got my first mixer in the middle of it so there's a little delay play in the drum and bass section. i was tempted to revise this with some overlaps in ableton ( especially between the first two tracks) but its not worth the time. Went to new years eve eve party at The Box Office- which is to say all of it was out of time for you and I...and even out of space for you, dear reader, looking at this through the telescope of your internet distant world...10 or so bands for as many dollars, a very well run event between two rooms: when one band started
another began...All ages, but very stiff margaritas at charming little mexican restaurant across the way...A Kahlo shrine in the lounge and a gray haired Ranchero DJ with more stories of what was gone than all the discs in his machine

in dread of the new year...here are four of the deepest cuts I've ever heard from the island: i dropped the bitrate on this because you need to get them from a source much closer than me

1) tappa as inspired as you can get over a horace andy dub
2) i got this off a reggae music forward broadcast...not sure who the vocalist is but the production sounds like perry at the ark- one love if you can clue me in (or even can't)
3) "death trap" by one or another name depending on who presses it...stan rankin t used to run this behind him in an announcement for his kunv show and the flute draws you in every time
