space invaders are smoking grass

paddle play photo filched from the streets are calling

...Captured Tracks site...just finished drinking a case of shit beer,
my pecker wrapped in tinfoil and hooked up to a 9V battery... my pcp-addled index finger on its way through songs by each and every one of the thirty or so bands that this label has released: Nothing I heard rewrites the Bible, but Captured has gotten behind a few acts who could come out with an Epic tune if time, skill, money, and vibe all came together in the right way...There are some close calls- Check

1)the Cosmetics "Soft Skin",
2)Grass Widow "Tattoo," &
3)the Dum Dum Girls "Hey Sis",

...nobody else on the roster did much for me, but none of it was radio advert dogshit...and the Oh Sees, of course, I think there might be a few songs on Dog Poison that might be better than anything on Help- I'd have to listen to them both a few times to say for sure

speaking of dogshit...Man, is it shit for days out the window with corpses riding the escalators and nowhere near enough left on the credit card to up the dosage!- And now they are trying to use the MRI to make contact to my vegetative state...Get lost, you bunch of fucking tossers, your world is full of shit! If you're really feeling compassion for the coma of everyday life, shoot a little heroin into my feedtube!

...by the way, I can think of a few people who could possibly read this that I don't like. If this applies to you, I'd like you to remember that I'm still hoping for your painful death in a terrible accident...

punkrock bowling expands to three days...mary anne hobbs in coming to smash...neon reverb festival is in two weeks

...and this...this is pretty hitting; i tried to stay off the MCDE bandwagon for as long as I could, but the cat has finally stepped up to the sum of his influences...the vibes and the play on the vocal line is getting a simple thing exactly right

The only real weather is fog, because it comes in shades. Everything else you have to fight with. The sun disappears behind a cloud. The rain falls all at once. The wind blows and then is just as quickly gone. I remember the girl who could tell you that she loved you the morning after she slept with another man. In his memoirs, Black Iron Bill wrote that he had no conception of betrayal: Who is it that is really ever there? Nothing to home but a bed to shut your eyes on and a key for the door. For my part, I used to misunderstand the word "superstition". Superstitions have their own physics- like the conversation of mass- only when they balance themselves out exactly are you able to tell the future.

I married my corpse because I thought it could tell me the future. It suggested that I go wait in line at a beauty salon so that I could fill out a dozen or more copies of a missing person's report...In a riddle whose last name is music the only word you are not allowed to say is "maybe we should just be friends." The Greeks just had a riot, the French, too. I could tell you that coke tastes better than pepsi but I'm saving all of my anachronisms for the next revolution. It's like no longer believing in bubble gum- bubble gum is just something they put on TV to make you buy interviews with your fans.

"You want to know if I think coke is better than pepsi..." I held out one of my hands- making a gesture like the pope. "...Well... It's a moral choice obviously. I can tell what kind of people you would sleep with when you tell me which soda you drink-it's like...a moral expression of who you are...what kind of world you want to live in..." Behind my sunglasses, I could only see the photographers when the flashbulbs went off.

THE LAZYSTARS FEELGOOD'S 012810
5 piece harder than average pop...ben foldsish vocals...catchy hook

IMAGINE DRAGONS FEELGOOD'S 012810
5 piece pop with some
killers' vein eighties influences-

.........................................................................................Flash forward to a seance in which each of us were handcuffed
to one another...Harbor Island, you replied. We were listening to a book on tape confessional that allowed each of us to leave rubble and burning ash toppled skyscrapers far behind. We pulled up into the parking lot and quickly walked to your apartment. We were bothered four...five times...by the vagrants who wandered sleeplessly about the grounds..."You need something?"..."You got something?"

"No.I'm OK"

In your room. You wore a t-shirt that was far too big for you- with holes. Your hair is long and highlighted in three subtle shades "Have you seen this?" you asked. It was a video of crystalline tones and cathode green oscilloscope traces. You took some ketamine out of the microwave and opened a can of tuna for the cats prowling about the kitchen floor

working on a mix dvd with psychotronic vid clips against a backdrop of whatever the hell has been pulling my chain, groovewise...This mix is part of that: i had a digital player in one of my inputs but it's a live- in one-take run through. i have to stick it into ableton because the last track came in too hot- hopefully i can tork the EQ and bring it in line. there's some overlap and delay play so if yr looking to own any of these cuts... gonna have to look elsewhere
MIX #9:

"caravan" a surf band version. I totally forget how I got this or who did it...
"do your shing-a-ling"- pijuan y su sexteto off an andale comp basically the only decent cut on it, sadly
"nena" by the Tasaday...not 100% on who laid down this MONSTER of a track... I pulled it off "psychodelicias"a cdr comp
"let me do my thing" ... Los Dinamicos Exciters w/ Ralph Weeks- Soundway's first Panama comp
a few other O.K. cuts on this but this is the best
"there was a time" by Six Pack from the Good God comp which is chock full of party

up for the downstroke

BEFOREHAND FROM THE AFTERLIFE:

2010...I lost a few pages of the calender in the role of a ghoul starring as a valet on loan from a bankrobber: that was my epitaph and my coin in the fountain. But there is another sort of calender, far more exact and dangerous:

...The calender's name is Plaster of Paris. He often appears in the guise of a garage salesman, or a ballet editor, often alluding to obscure degrees from the televisions of Europe. When a thousand ships are launched, the calender will be found advancing parodies of a garage to the most extravagantly flawed pretensions. When cornered, he can divide apples into thirds...If seen, use extreme caution and do not attempt to detain the calender yourself, act naturally and alert some figurehead of higher authority...

THE CLYDESDALE YAYO'S TACOS 010910 acoustic set...alt-country...strong vocals

THE CHOKE DOUBLE DOWN 010910 straight ahead rawk...detroit ghosts and misfit/ramones anthem chorus

CLINTON PARLIAMENT FUNKADELIC BUFFALO BILLS 012310 8 minutes of groove on a catfish colllins style riff...belita sings about taking it to the bridge but it keeps chugging

I've been sifting through as many files and programs as one hundred percent of my bandwidth can take in, but I can't say there's too many that bear mentioning. I've had a change to bash around with Native Instrument's Massive, which really is capable of some arresting sounds...

kind of digging the lo-fi reverb and wandering drum rhythm on the Topaz Rags Capricorn LP. Have the people responsible recorded anything better?...

I can count good Dubstep tunes on one hand, but Matty G came through Smash with some downtempo jams with a really deep sound...

I finally made it to the Farm, if they had something that was worth checking out, the space is set up pretty well as far as the stage and sound system...all ages these days =lots of melodramatic band names...

Sometimes you forget not only people and places, but entire ideas. The meanings of ideas as real things. When you can't sell an occasion, it is the real symbol of something. When all occasions are sold, you and I will have died.

hell bent for leather

All endings are fortunate. Every story ends with its own murder: "What do you do?" "Where are you from?" I went with some crossed out roomrate broker to play virtual golf. The facade of Bar PT: a mortuary for baboons. By then everybody had practiced what they would tell the cameras: "I knew that braining donkeys with a rubber mallet wasn't what I was meant to do with my life!" It was all deja vu and a reenactment at ten paces. The best word she had a handle on was:"Jaded," I really hadn't recognized her from one thousand and twenty six years before- her hair was platinum blonde then and I was better with names.

Believe it or not, it takes a lot of time to write this crap.

imitation elvis just got evicted from the house by the edge of sunset park... my ninety one year old grandmother says hello.

A PACK OF WOLVES YAYO'S TACOS 010310 one guy on vocals and guitar one on drums keyboard backing track

STARSKATE YAYO'S TACOS 010310 guitar bass drums set - 13 minute long hard-metallish freak out with complex song structure

HUNGRY CLOUD ??? THE BUNKHOUSE 010110 5 piece straight ahead pop

On Monday the aquarium froze completely solid. I could see a phone line and the three of spades struck though with a knife into the pooltable. Some gaptoothed Romanian brought her Pelican behind the bar and made my coke dealer and I spaghetti. All the people that had to kill themselves in the morning tried to find a picture of themselves in magazines before leaving.

expressway to your skull

Went to new years eve eve party at The Box Office- which is to say all of it was out of time for you and I...and even out of space for you, dear reader, looking at this through the telescope of your internet distant world...10 or so bands for as many dollars, a very well run event between two rooms: when one band started
another began...All ages, but very stiff margaritas at charming little mexican restaurant across the way...A Kahlo shrine in the lounge and a gray haired Ranchero DJ with more stories of what was gone than all the discs in his machine

got about fifty minutes of five bands with the recorder, i need some help with the names cause the valium moon was a full blur on the horizon

1 punk by way of hardcore

2 ska band with horns and a few fairly talented players (THE REMEDIES ???)

3 THE LIPSTICK KILLAS- guitar drums keyboard, 80's new wave influenced vocal

4 anthemic punk four piece from canada

4 THE OBJEX

5 MURDER MAJESTY

in dread of the new year...here are four of the deepest cuts I've ever heard from the island: i dropped the bitrate on this because you need to get them from a source much closer than me

1) tappa as inspired as you can get over a horace andy dub
2) i got this off a reggae music forward broadcast...not sure who the vocalist is but the production sounds like perry at the ark- one love if you can clue me in (or even can't)
3) "death trap" by one or another name depending on who presses it...stan rankin t used to run this behind him in an announcement for his kunv show and the flute draws you in every time
4) satta dub from rockers uptown

kites are fun

The following message came to me buried on the moon...like a little bell you can ring just in case they fasten you in and close it up before it's really over: DJ Rize and I...we were going to see hamburger helper take the stage at green valley station- One of those guest wig affairs in which the lowest common denominator signs an autograph on the season eleven DVD...All at once, without warning, I managed to hijack a tablecloth and pawn my rusted helmet credentials for a bookend in seaweed. The myths of Gods are now the myths of Corporations, but the slavery is the same...

album rip on this post is: "music of the godhead" arranged and conducted circa 1975 by some freak brother going under the name of master wilburn burchette...the liners try to sell this as a meditation backdrop...but the synth lines and the delay guitar all get pretty busy...sometimes a little dull but its worth a go...a couple times i thought of the fripp/eno thing

...and that's Christmas for you but yeah away from the launch pad it got better: we rode out the underpass and got some drinks at the doubledown SWINGSHIFT SIDESHOW ....where a clown took the six of diamonds to his face by way of a staplegun and a married couple ran a skewer through their biceps...shot darts from a blowgun by means of a provocatively talented cooch and ran yard long screws through the nostrils be means of a power drill...big up the sideshow. always wishing that there was more of this sort of thing, just like walking down the street a dead rabbit juggling bowling pins ...in fact wishing the majority

caught a few minutes of the band afterword;

SHOTGUNS AND GASOLINE DOUBLE DOWN SALOON 12/25/09- 90's influenced bar punk group with some fairly energetic drumming
