Sunflare: "Gravity Free" by alteredzones

Manga Impact The World of Japanese Animation

Very accessible a to z of random highlights from an enormous universe. good for getting clued in on some new fictions, but by no means an overview. If, like me, you are almost totally ignorant about this stuff and don't care for most of it, you will find a few things to track down.

editor of wired's ESSENTIAL threat level, Poulsen turns a gifted hacker's credit card network into a competent novel. Glenny offers a much weaker book on same milieu. Some interesting tangents about secure communications, but, of itself, the sociology of compulsive credit robbers is really not all that revelatory. The Bamford book, about the NSA/ATandT merger, is well researched, well presented, soberly fascinating.

Catcher 6 Ghostnotez Version by ghostnotez

The book of memories - Ana MarĂa Shuaquasi-autobiographical, multi generational tale of 20th century eastern european jews after immigrating to Argentina. details of actual people, sometimes sufficient for just being genuine, like candid crowd scene photography...intermittent ambiguity about the source of the narrator's voice offsets the absence of extraordinary content

Arabesque: Graphic Design from the Arab World and Persia
Some stunning graphics in here. New vista hybrid culture shock 21st century vision. Calligraphy really takes on a new organic dimension with the digital edge graphic design.

Montage and erotic microscope. Signal to station, yet desire and a tophat invariable. He took a picture of each of the employees, printed it and had them write their signature beneath. "What do you need these for?" asked chairman 43. "How will they be used?"

seeder descent signal interrupt polar methanogen haze by THE CASE FOR MARS

alcoholic planets, love raked over the coals, a fishbowl and concentric crimes, erratic multiplication tables, a branch of light doom, winds of torrential jewelry.

so i went to Holiday Havoc and it was OK- a lot of people there, you could tell they don't get out too much. Middle Class Rut was really loud for just being two guys. it's a drag that most bands big enough to play The Joint are so silly, cause the sound in there is physically in yer chest loud. That shit is good for you. People should be forced to go see concerts like they are forced to go to high school.

A year later, Swan Tablecloth set fire to a wig and exchanged Everyday life with a mechanical seahorse. As the wig smoldered, duet for overseas and ultraviolet took cloud hostages in a call center...The entire swan was called: museum life and subtle glass body. the bridge is over

this is my 128kps rip of "Lark" from a 12" by Pub on Ampoule...warm dubby house track with lazy summer day ambiance.

this is "sufrir" from Olympia Washington's Weird TV...someone else posted a rip of their 2010 demo cassette and this track, while it doesn't invent the wheel, has a lot of energy.  Female fronted, lyrics in espaniol, tearing simple riffs.  tape is sold out apparently.  there's a you tube vid of them live in a record store but it's not too involved
On return from World Wars 7 and 8, I bartered wax figure photographs with Psychic-for-Hire double feature...The Shock of the New...now billed as...Erotic Memoirs of the Undead.

All that is left for you and I is to auction sock puppets in opening night ceremonies...Because yesterday was my photographic rise to dictatorship: the grand opening of Hotel Nude Idol. Red carpet reenactment courtesy of Post Hypnotic Revolution. AKA Suspended Animation. From which we now broadcast dog bone-star is-born in virtual high definition and holographic subliminal commentary. Because yesterday was your museum disguised as charity...disguised as an eyewitness disguised as scortched earth revisited...

third stone from the sun

On Neptune, every minute has its own penny. You can only pay for something at its exact particular moment.  I had no friends on Neptune, only acquaintances- We were all immigrants and were all awaiting our papers.

I met Barnacle Bill there. He trained baby seals for Celine Dion and was famous for putting his head in the mouth of a rabbit.

"You might pick up a tuba one day," he told me once, "And discover a melody that will stop a nest of hornets from demolishing everything that you love.  No one else needs even to hear it, really.  That's the hardest part for most people to understand."

ripped my 10" of this and uploaded it at 128kbps.  It's out of print.  These cuts have the same ambiance and musicianship as the ethiopiques#4 disc.  the compositions are maybe a notch less sublime, but they are still groovy, deep, and utterly unique

past links are fixed...perhaps i should resume recording and ripping...plunge full waste of time ahead into  the most of the moment...to the interstellar indifference of one hand clapping....poised in the disguise of a used car lot...grown over into a jungle with purple clouds and giant prehistoric flies.

Retiring this blog:  checking all the links, backing up everything I can and moving on...Still gonna stop by every now and then, so if you want to shout out some love, drop me a comment or an email...

I posted the following mix in an earlier incarnation of blogdom...a cop out repeat post, perhaps...But no one is keeping score. A couple of these records are a little played out if you are familiar with the style. If you don't, then it's pretty hitting. I knew the records well, the mixing is fairly tight

"125 BPM DETROIT HOUSE pearl mix IOZOZOI m.MP3"
I had one of Ben Sim's Split mixes on in the background the other day and the Seldom Felt "Face Value" track literally cut through the speakers and commenced to throb out a perpendicular groove straight parallel to Joey Beltram's brainpan. (Discogs gives this a nod and a wink towards Lawrie Immersion.  Long Live the Stay Up Forever crew) If you can't take this for what it is, I don't want anything to do with you. Timeless. Futurist samples it : HERE
