the bridge is over

this is my 128kps rip of "Lark" from a 12" by Pub on Ampoule...warm dubby house track with lazy summer day ambiance.

this is "sufrir" from Olympia Washington's Weird TV...someone else posted a rip of their 2010 demo cassette and this track, while it doesn't invent the wheel, has a lot of energy.  Female fronted, lyrics in espaniol, tearing simple riffs.  tape is sold out apparently.  there's a you tube vid of them live in a record store but it's not too involved
On return from World Wars 7 and 8, I bartered wax figure photographs with Psychic-for-Hire double feature...The Shock of the New...now billed as...Erotic Memoirs of the Undead.

All that is left for you and I is to auction sock puppets in opening night ceremonies...Because yesterday was my photographic rise to dictatorship: the grand opening of Hotel Nude Idol. Red carpet reenactment courtesy of Post Hypnotic Revolution. AKA Suspended Animation. From which we now broadcast dog bone-star is-born in virtual high definition and holographic subliminal commentary. Because yesterday was your museum disguised as charity...disguised as an eyewitness disguised as scortched earth revisited...

this first album era (sorry, don't have the date) Specials in a kickass sounding run though of Concrete Jungle!

third stone from the sun

On Neptune, every minute has its own penny. You can only pay for something at its exact particular moment.  I had no friends on Neptune, only acquaintances- We were all immigrants and were all awaiting our papers.

I met Barnacle Bill there. He trained baby seals for Celine Dion and was famous for putting his head in the mouth of a rabbit.

"You might pick up a tuba one day," he told me once, "And discover a melody that will stop a nest of hornets from demolishing everything that you love.  No one else needs even to hear it, really.  That's the hardest part for most people to understand."

ripped my 10" of this and uploaded it at 128kbps.  It's out of print.  These cuts have the same ambiance and musicianship as the ethiopiques#4 disc.  the compositions are maybe a notch less sublime, but they are still groovy, deep, and utterly unique
