this is my 128kps rip of "Lark" from a 12" by Pub on Ampoule...warm dubby house track with lazy summer day ambiance.  

this is "sufrir" from Olympia Washington's Weird TV...someone else posted a rip of their 2010 demo cassette and this track, while it doesn't invent the wheel, has a lot of energy.  Female fronted, lyrics in espaniol, tearing simple riffs.  tape is sold out apparently.  there's a you tube vid of them live in a record store but it's not too involved

On Neptune, every minute has its own penny. You can only pay for something at its exact particular moment.  I had no friends on Neptune, only acquaintances- We were all immigrants and were all awaiting our papers.

ripped my 10" of this and uploaded it at 128kbps.  It's out of print.  These cuts have the same ambiance and musicianship as the ethiopiques#4 disc.  the compositions are maybe a notch less sublime, but they are still groovy, deep, and utterly unique

a track each off of these LPs...chinese cha cha by alfredito and virgenes del sol by sumac...the latin spectacular disc is otherwise just ok. the rest of the songs on fuego have actual lyrics, slower tempos and didn't appeal to me, but this is fairly good. is "taki rari" sumac's finest moment? From what I've heard the answer is yes, but suggestions are welcome.


decided to trust the admirable strut label to school me on the italo. a little bit goes a long ways for me- too long as a matter of fact- the comp didn't really turn me out any. except the firefly track which is about as good as say, a solid p&p cut. The build up from 3:45 is prime time floor filler

the following track comes from someone else ripping a cassette tape... "SILVER BULLETS" is the name of the musical group. the tape was released in 2009 was limited to 100 but the rip of the whole album shouldn't be too hard to find. it's an enjoyable set of songs...all instrumentals that each manages to successfully cop a different sound from different tradition in global freakout...the track I'm posting here, Il Punto, is a simple guitar riff driven trancer in the vein of some of the more monolithic loop/spaceman 3 material - a formula which never gets dated and could use a lot more practitioners
